                        National demonstration
                        Saturday 24 November
                        Report back

Despite heavy rain between 10,000-15,000 people joined the demonstration against the siege of Gaza today, following Israel's week long attack on Palestinians in Gaza.

Marching from Downing Street to the Israeli Embassy we carried the message that Israel's impunity can not be allowed to continue and the siege on Gaza must end. Speakers included PSC Patrons Ahdaf Soueif, Baroness Jenny Tonge, Jeremy Corbyn MP, Victoria Brittain and Vice Chair of PSC, Palestinian Kamel Hawwash.

PSC's Director Sarah Colborne read a message of support from PSC patron Ken Loach which stated 'When Government's fail then civil society must act. We must support boycott, disinvestment and sanctions.'

Israel’s latest attack on Gaza created appalling death and destruction.

Thank you to all our members and supporters who tirelessly worked to oppose this latest assault. The PSC sprung into emergency mode, with protests and demonstrations taking place right across the country.

As Palestinians in Gaza pick up the pieces, mourn the dead and struggle to care for the injured, the role of international solidarity has never been more critical. As Ahdaf Soueif, PSC patron, pointed out, ‘Gaza is no longer alone’. Israel was forced to agree a ceasefire which included opening Gaza’s borders, but has already violated it by killing a Palestinian on Friday morning.
If you donate more than £100 a year you belong to PSC's 100 Club.

Palestine Solidarity Campaign plays a critical role in responding to urgent escalations and assaults upon Palestinians. But we all know it is not enough to simply respond when media attention is on Palestine because of yet another attack by the Israeli military.

That is why your support is so important.
