[Smashpatriarchy] Victoria Anarchist Bookfair

Hey Folks,

The victoria Anarchist bookfair is happening on september 15 and 16th. Last
year, there was a workshop about manarchism and it was just awful - the
presenters were from some band, they didn't show, another bandmate filled
in for them, and it was not well run but it was heavily heavily attended.

So, can i make a proposal? I plan on attending the bookfair again this year
but will not be attending with the animal rights folks (we had a table and
workshop last year), as we are all scattered across the place. Do we want
to have a workshop and/or table?

For the workshop:
we can present a small history of hte project, what we intend(ed) to do,
things we have learned, and ideas for how to start your own Solidarity
Against Patriarchy group.
Alternatively, we can run a workshop/discussion re: consent, masculine
violence, masculinity - this can be and should be constructed for the group.

For the table:
We can amass a bunch of zines, readings, movies, articles etc. targeting
the subject of masculinity and anti-sexism. Table is a bit more work, as it
requires collecting, printing, bringing them over, etc. etc.

Anyway, the deadline is July 31 and personally, i think we should do a
workshop and i'd be happy to facilitate it with whoever else, though my
involvement with sap has been fragmented and so cannot speak much to its
history (other than origins, and bits here and there).
