Hello all,

This story was on NPR a couple of days ago. It's got everything, a feel good story, a great business that needs more capital, and a source that could use some donations.

Tsunami Relief—safe drinking water in Sri Lanka

One of the biggest problems facing Tsunami survivors—one that could kill large numbers—is the lack of clean drinking water. WaterHealth Technology is offering to provide microwave oven–sized ultra-violet purification devices at their cost to the refugee areas. The UV Waterworks was invented by Dr. Ashok Gadgil of the Lawrence Berkley Labroratory, and you can donate directly to the GlobalGiving fund devoted to supplying these devices to Sri Lanka. For those curious, LBL has posted Dr. Gadgil’s answers to 10 FAQs about the UV Waterworks technology.
