Hello All -
From a little bookstore, and a hand stapled copy of 'From Beirut' by
Mahmoud Darwish, comes this reading of his poem. His voice comes to
us out of history, out of 1982 which was the last time that Israel
was in Lebanon. It was doing much the same thing as it is doing
today. And "just when Beirut was starting to look modern again..."
in the words of our friend mr. fisk, came down the bombs. His voice
is as fresh now as it ever was. From Beirut, an apple for the sea.
 From Beirut, beacon of rubble.
