Salut Everyone! Canadians and Americans!!!

Power to the Small Massive! (or Fight the Power!, if you prefer!)
Kim Rivera is set to be deported from Canada on THURSDAY, if she does not
leave voluntarily, she will be forcibly removed.

What I'm asking is simple. Please take a moment this week (before
Thursday) to contact Minister of Immigration and Citizenship Jason Kenney
and the Harper gov't and tell them you disagree with this decision.

If you've already called/emailed the gov't, you're awesome, you really
are, but please do so again. The Harper gov't just wants this issue to go
away: ie, deport all the war resisters from Canada so the problem goes
away, this is despite a June 3, 2008, motion in OUR Parliament allowing
them to stay.

Well, TO HELL WITH HARPER AND KENNEY'S WISHES!!!, we will not go away
until all the war resisters are allowed to stay. At this point, I'm
hearing stories of Kenney's office bluntly hanging up on callers, so we
know we're getting to them.

I say: JAM UP their office lines and email boxes! IT CANNOT BE BUSINESS AS
USUAL for these MPs if they think it can be business as usual for them
while they try and deport Kim and other resisters!

This is why I say: POWER TO THE SMALL MASSIVE!

If we all get together behind this, every single phone call and email adds
up to a wave of positive support for war resisters in Canada. You can
call/email once, once a day, it's up to you. Every bit of help counts and
builds and swells to a massive positive force that cannot be ignored.
Think of how POWERFUL YOU ARE!

If you email Kenney, please CC Harper and the Opposition parties (contact
info below). This is not a time to be shy!

You can also use the text of your email to draft a letter to the editor of
your local paper. If the newspaper gets a swell of support letters in the
editorial section on Monday, they might commission a front section story
by Wednesday!


**Please note, you might get told when you call Jason Kenney's office to
re-direct your call to the Minister of Public Safety since they deal with
this issue. This is incorrect!!!!, while the Minister of Public Service
does manage the Canadian Border Security Agency (CBSA) which does the
dirty work of the deportation, is it still Kenney who has the power to
stop Kim's deportation!!!

We have until Thursday. Let us rise up like a pride of lions to defend Kim
and the other resisters in Canada!
