A HEALTHY ADVICE ON THE CANADA-COLOMBIA FTA
PM Needs a Checkup
I am wondering, with all due respect, if Mr. Stephen Harper is going blind
and deaf. May be it is time for him to get a checkup with his family
doctor because hes not listening to his fellow Canadians at all and is
missing the entire picture of Colombian reality as well.

MIGRATIONS FROM HAITI TO THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC:
The Bitter Sugar Route
Unlike other nations where the Haitian Diaspora is big, the Dominican
Republic is the only country where these immigrants do not have political
participation, they are denied an I.D., and many are exploited and
deceived by the employers, and finally deported.

CLOSER TO DISCORD AND FAR AWAY FROM INTEGRATION
Street Fighting in the Barrio Latino
The fever of territorial fights and enmity in Latin-America began soon
after the independence of its countries. Troubles became historical
disputes that have sadly turned into new arguments. But, are we then
talking about belligerent tensions or is it just about unfortunate verbal
skims?

The Rating: A Reality or Illusion in Paraguay?
What audience measurement methods are used in Paraguay? What would happen
if what the audience sees and hears does not precisely correspond to what
is indicated in traditional rating?

IS OUR PICTORIAL ART OUT OF DATE?
The Uncertain Future of the Latin-American Painting
One of the characteristics of the Latin American pictorial art is the
nationalism. The paintings reflect the indigenous inheritance mixing it or
not with the colonial past and also making reference to the social and
economic struggles, since many Latin American nations were marked by
lingering dictatorships.

ALBERTO FUJIMORIS DAUGHTER WANTS TO RULE IN PERU
A Criminal Dynasty
Some incidents clearly reflects the attachment or the Fujimori family
members to power and crime. During Albertos first ruling in the early
90s, the former First Lady Susana Higushi denounces that the presidents
brothers were stealing from donations. Further allegations come to light
regarding abuse and torture against her. Now, its been confirmed that in
1999, Keiko Fujimori got US$327,325 from the sale of her fathers property
and withdrew them in 2001.

NATIVE DEMONSTRATIONS IN PERU AND ECUADOR HAVE SIMILAR ROOTS
Governments Dont Listen To Our Native People
South America is characterized by the presence of large aboriginal
communities in its territory and the similarity of the events occurred in
Peru and Ecuador teaches us that the worst consequence of the increasing
lack of dialogue in the area is the loss of lives of the citizens who dare
declaring their opposition.

Fidel Castro Proposed to Nobel Peace Prize 2010
He was directly responsible for setting up the International School of
Medicine in Havana which graduated more than 20,000 students from more
than one hundred countries. Another reason is his commitment to a safer,
more stable world in which sustainable development is practiced by
governments worldwide.

AFTER COUP BACKER WINS PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
Hondurans Divided
The Obama administration is moving further away from its stated support
for the reinstatement of the ousted President Manuel Zelaya. On Monday
November 30th, the State Department praised this weekends Honduran
elections, which saw coup backer and wealthy landowner Porfirio Lobo
emerge victorious with 55 percent of the vote. Zelayas supporters
boycotted the election, and many Latin American countries have refused to
recognize its outcome. VIDEO
