   Specialized Journalistic Services is a Latin-Canadian Human Rights and
Freedom of Expression advocate organization. Formerly founded 10 years
ago in South America, was re-established in Ontario, Canada, in 2006.

   We are currently offering a freelance job opportunity to seven (7) VIDEO
REPORTERS located at Bogota, Buenos Aires, Caracas, Guatemala City,
Havana, and Mexico City, who will be providing video content to our
corporative bilingual English-Spanish website. The right candidates should
know the Latino reality, have strong Latino identity background and be
aware of how the relations South-North should be. They must also
understand the role of the alternative media in the current worldwide
geopolitical ground, and the propaganda mechanism and purpose as well.

Requirements:

1. The candidates must be fully bilingual English-Spanish. Experience
broadcasting in English and feeling comfortable talking in English before
a video camera is essential.
2. At least 2 years of Social Communication, Journalism, Politics,
Economics or Sociology studies PLUS 1 year of experience creating video
content on the internet.
3. Knowledge in different video edition software and multimedia content
publishing experience A MUST.

    Experience working with alternative media, Non Governmental
Organizations or based community social projects will be an asset. It
could be some traveling opportunity involved in this position. If you

FEATURED COLUMNISTS located at Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, and New
York, who will be providing articles to our corporative website. The
right candidates must know the current foreign and internal Canadian,
American political agenda, local media issues, and local social
struggles as well.
  They must also understand the role of the alternative media in the current
worldwide geopolitical ground, and the propaganda mechanism and purpose as
well.
  It would be desirable but not essential that the candidates knew about
Latin American and Caribbean issues.

Requirements:

1.  At least 2 years of Social Communication, Journalism, Politics,
Economics or Sociology studies. International education will be considered
to fill this position.
2.  One year of experience creating media content. International
experience will be considered to fill this position.
3. At least five years of recent permanent residence in North America
3. Basic computer skills required, typing, emailing, internet.

   Photography and/or video skills will be definitely an asset. Experience
working with alternative media, Non Governmental Organizations or based
community social projects will be an asset.
   There is not relocation or traveling opportunity involved in this
