Fellow Workers and Friends, Oh well. We tried to get inside but 'not this time'.We WILL leaflet outside the 2 showings (2/11 and 2/13) and we invite all local Wobblies, friends and family to join in on that.The filmmaker, Yale Strom, is trying to line up more showings in our region, and he would like to have IWW speak at some future showing. That would be sweet. Please RSVP if you will commit to being at one or both of the upcoming showings ONE HOUR EARLY and will help leaflet the incoming audience. Monty

Thanks for being in touch. We do not allow outside organizations, hosts, or partners to speak before any films, or have a table at the Festival. If you are interested in becoming a Community Partner or Host, your organization would be allowed to have some marketing collateral or fliers dropped off at the Festival on February 8th for the Community Table.

I am sending you the email correspondence preceding the one Paul just sent, to introduce us to each other.
Insofar as the Strom film is largely concerning the role of Eugene Debs in the foundation of IWW, the current IWW branch would like to say a few words to the film audiences and we would like to have an information table at the showings. Yale Strom will be speaking at the showings, as we understand it. He is supportive of our request.

I say it is OK, but I am only the filmmaker and do not make these decisions. Contact the SD Jewish Film Festival. Please contact Paul Parietti at paulp at lfjcc.org. Please ask him.

Now if you are not able to at these two screenings I am planning on some more screenings here in SD county maybe through the teachers union, also maybe through SDSU, so I can let you know in advance so you could have a table there.

The film features a number of San Diego voice actors (Steve Gunderson, Sam Woodhouse, Nick Cagel, David Drexler, Eliza Jane Schneider, Debbie Davis, etc.) as well as an original soundtrack of American folk music performed by Fred Benedetti, Jeff Pekarek, Walt Richards, Elizabeth Schwartz, and special guest fiddler Jeremy Kittel.
