Thanks, Monty, I agree. Good comments and questions. Let me try to answer:
My understanding is that the only thing SDRAH agreed on was to create a
listserv. As far as I can tell, there is no certainty that a next meeting
of SDRAH will happen soon or at all.
I've spoken to over 20 people now who are going to meet Sunday 10am to
continue sustained anti-fascist, anti-racist organizing, some of whom are
expressly interested in becoming involved in CRSD. Members of DAF and PSL
have also confirmed they will attend. I don't plan to push Sunday's group
to immediately decide on whether or not to be part of CRSD (it would take
time for CRSD to approve that anyway), but will rather try to help people
decide what we want to *do* regardless of banner, while being honest and
open about the fact that I do hope it becomes part of CRSD.
So yes, this would be an ad hoc committee for rapid response that could
hopefully become a regular committee of CRSD.
I think it's right to seize the time. People are pouring into the streets
about DACA now, and many are ready to go far beyond being added to a
listserv.
How does this sound? Can you and/or Eric from IWW join us (I know Lydia
cannot)?
