OPTION A:
The fundamental needs and rights of the people of our communities are under
attack by an elite that hoards resources and authority. Our basic
necessities for fulfilled and healthy lives continue to be denied by an
unjust system rooted in capitalism, imperialism, white-supremacy, and
cisheteropatriarchy.
We are an alliance of individuals and collectives working in collaboration
to support and defend the rights of all peoples while centering the needs
and voices of the marginalized. This alliance of the radical left is
non-sectarian: we embrace various perspectives and identities and we
welcome all who want to fight exploitation and oppression.
Through mutual aid and practical action we work to resist and dismantle the
systems and institutions that harm us and the environment. Our work
together moves towards political, economic, and social liberation and
self-determination for all oppressed peoples in San Diego and beyond.
OPTION B:
We are an alliance of individuals and collectives working in collaboration
to support and defend the rights of oppressed peoples, with particular
attention to people of color, queer, trans, and intersex folx, womxn,
children, the elderly, and the physically and mentally
dis/differently-abled. We assert that the people of our communities must
have basic needs met in regards to food, water, clothing, housing,
education, healthcare, transit, and climate and environmental justice.
These fundamental needs and rights continue to be denied by an unjust
system rooted in capitalism, white-supremacy, and the heteropatriarchy. We
cannot trust the institutions that function under this system nor stand by
as they continue to hoard resources and authority, protecting the interests
of the elite while harming us and the environment.
This alliance is non-sectarian, comprised of folx from various perspectives
and identities: we welcome all who want to fight exploitation and
oppression. We are committed to organizing, mobilizing, supporting,
defending and fighting for our communities. We execute this by identifying
and using our intersecting struggles to connect and build camaraderie. We
practice mutual aid and practical action to defend oppressed peoples by any
means at our collective disposal.
Our work together moves towards a just and cooperative future based in
equality and equity for San Diego and beyond by building powerful
community-based movements around a shared platform. Our intentions are
rooted in love for each other and our planet.
