just read the Safer Space Guidelines (somewhat similar to the PRC common
ground guide)

At some point, I would suggest a discussion around the terms we use as part
of our self-education....People of Color used as a category, a descriptive
phrase.
I also just learned of the phrase BIPOC-led organizing for liberation
(BIPOC stands for Black, Indigenous, and People Of Color)- meant  to
describe everyone "else".

I also have learned that People/Communities of Color is a trigger for many
people who find themselves as identified by that term- I have been told it
is supremist in the sense that it places entire peoples as somehow separate
*unequal* to caucausians, continuing the framework of white power
structure.  Identity politics as a response to power grabs?

I would like to investigate this more, being european descent &
pink-skinned.  since language is important and I am trying to unlearn what
I learned as a white person.  Wonder if our Education Committee would like
to host a workshop/teach-in on this?

ps- the PRC is hosting a Teach-In Feb 4th to invite you all to...some
discussion workshops on racism & feminism/sexism in the movement among
them...hope you can join us.
the Teach-In is meant to bring more common ground amongst the left,
progressive, and issue-oriented groups - to increase internal
understandings & hopefully more collaboration.  I attached the
