Fellow San Diegans, wondering what to do on inauguration weekend? This is
not an exhaustive list, but here are some of the main events I know of:

FRIDAY there should be considerable overlap between these three events, so
if you want to spend a full 8-hour day protesting Trump (in the rain!), you
can:

10:30am at City College

12noon at Balboa Park
https://www.facebook.com/events/203359216774367/

5pm at Chicano Park
https://www.facebook.com/events/1267475679980411/

SATURDAY should be the biggest march:

10am at Civic Center Plaza
https://www.facebook.com/events/1684632678516753/

SUNDAY

8:30am-5:30pm at Centro Cultural de la Raza and Worldbeat Cultural Center
https://www.facebook.com/events/1616495978655402/

This Sunday event is a day of discussions and workshops that should be a
help to you in finding ways to get involved. Which brings me to my final
point: More important than any of the particular events this weekend (even
the ones I'm helping with!) is committing to long-term study (probably not
the school kind) and organizing work (probably not the kind that pays).
Don't feel like you have to do absolutely everything, but commit to doing
something- even a little something- with others, with courage and
dedication, and with a willingness to question and learn. Is another world
possible? Let's find out together!

in solidarity,

Bo
