[Sdalliance] Canceled FB Event Page

Hi Companerxs:

FYI: Next meeting committee created an FB event page to alert us to
location of the next meeting and to give us materials. They gave all people
invited permission to invite people, with the caveat that they only invite
people who have been to meetings already. Somehow, the invitee list
ballooned to almost 300 people, very odd considering that not even a
fraction of that many people have showed up consistently to meetings.
Several people in the event page questioned the invitation list, including
myself. I posted in the event page a proposal to delete the FB event page,
and to request that Next Meeting committee distribute meeting info and
materials through the listserv only. I several people agreed, so I deleted
the event, for our security, and for the sake of next meeting.

I would ask that next meeting committee please send out the info and
materials through the listserv.
