Dear UALE Friends,

These are dangerous times for immigrant workers and their families.   
Now more than ever, labor educators need to stand up and defend the  
rights of immigrants at a time when massive deportations are being  
threatened by the new administration.

I just posted a piece on the "American Federation of Teachers Voices  
on Campus" blog here.

We also just opened a new exhibit at the UCLA Labor Center on  
'Undocumented Stories."  We hope to take the exhibit across the  
country in the coming months.

About the Exhibit:

Undocumented Stories utilizes storytelling to uplift the lived  
experiences of undocumented youth who have built a movement to change  
policies impacting higher education, access to healthcare, and  
deportation proceedings.Undocumented Stories will also include  
stories of unaccompanied minors to help contextualize this  
humanitarian crisis. This multimedia exhibit that seeks to empower  
immigrant communities to reconstruct narratives, shape public  
opinion, and influence policy affecting undocumented immigrant  
community.
