This story is a very rare example of any justice in the world of (anti) labor and employment law. Please read the article from the Stern Burger With Fries blog, and the links in it.
 
It is also a NOT unfamiliar example of how many (although, to be fair, not all) of the big SEIU locals have morphed from being ordinary "business unions" (aka, 'don't rock the global monopoly capitalism boat too much') into some new version of a company union. Some call it 'corporate unionism'.
 
While there are still some business unions that practice some minimal amount of union democracy, there are many that don't. SEIU is at the top of the pond in terms of the scum rising to the top. With nearly 90 percent of the workforce NOT unionized even into a business union, IWW organizers ought to be constantly aware that unorganized workers need to know that horror stories like SEIU are NOT what a revolutionary union movement looks like.
