[Sdalliance] CRSD Outreach and SDRAH meeting Friday

So then we need somebody still to put together something for the sdrah meeting Friday evening ? We could propose something like this excerpt from the event call, as a statement of purpose for a new CRSD Open Campaign Committee:
"We have seen fascists and racists show their faces in the past few months: at the rally in Huntington Beach a few months ago, at the Impeachment March at the beginning of July, and then we all saw the horror of the hoods-off “Unite the Right” Rally in Charlottesville, and the deadly aftermath. Enough is enough! We will not stand by while fascists, Klansman, Nazis, Identitarians, the Proud Boys, and the Aryan Brotherhood walk in our streets, and intimidate, harass, belittle, or hurt peaceful protesters. We will come together and unite our movements against the racists and fascists who seek to divide us, and belittle and destroy our culture of inclusivity, empathy, and tolerance.

"...San Diego will stand up to hate and bigotry! We, as a diverse community of working people, people of color, Indiginous People, immigrants and refugees, gay, bi, and trans people, concerned parents and students, Jews, Muslims, Christians, and people of all faiths, and centrists, liberals, and leftists alike -- we will not allow violent right-wing fascists, Nazis, the Klan, or any of their horrible ilk take over our cities, towns, bars, places of worship, or campuses." We could share the definition of our open campaign committees, from our CRSD structure document, along with our mission statement ? Not sure how much detail about CRSD docs makes sense for this meeting. Probably not all our docs at this meeting? mk

Per the meeting notes, Yesi, Lace, me, you? were to work on the outreach proposal. I would like us to meet this week. Assuming that the sdrah crowd mostly wants to stick together and mostly wants to do more similar actions (big assumptions) then it ought to be simple to adapt the sdrah announcement of the purpose of the rally/march to form a committee proposal. If there arose any opposition to sdrah voting as a bloc to form such a committee, we might want to form it anyway, and invite whoever does like it. mk

I think this is exactly the right thing to do, Monty.  Maybe we can write up a short pitch for the SDRAH crowd that could double as a proposal to charter an Open Committee at the next CRSD delegate meeting?  Who was it that was gonna work on the proposal (I think I was one of the ppl)?

However, our orgs were well represented in the sdrah planning meetings. So, do we want to make some effort to state our case for the "next move" of the sdrah folks to logically be to consider affiliation with CRSD? propose that they make sdrah into a CRSD Open Campaign Committee?
