Tarek, one of our NGen staff, a Syrian-Canadian hip hop artist and
educator,  will gather together speakers and artists from the Syrian
community to address the local response to the Refugee Crisis, including
what it means that "Hamilton Welcomes Refugees"- from which a more
thoughtful, reflective, and just consideration of the issues can catalyze
action.

I think this is going to be an important community gathering and reflection
point for those allies interested in, or already taking steps to support
refugees in Hamilton. Please attend if you can and share widely. Event is
open to youth & adults alike.
