Hello, supporters of Talking Radical!

On this week's show, I interview Steve Baird. He is an organizer with
the Education Across Borders collective, which is part of the Solidarity
Across Borders migrant justice network in Montreal. The education
collective has been around for several years, and has focused on winning
unimpeded access to basic schooling for children who do not have
immigration status in Canada -- a right which most jurisdictions in
Canada put significant barriers in the way of realizing, in stark
contrast with many European countries and the United States. Baird
speaks with me about those barriers, and about the work that Education
Across Borders has been doing to challenge them.
