Hi Ajit,

Thanks for sending.  This looks good to me, and I don't have any additional
suggestions for the main text.  I don't know that anything needs to be
added to the list of immediate demands as I'm concerned that a long list
might detract from the force of making specific demands.  That said, it
could be worth making some mention of the UN climate summit and the need to
live up to the mandate of 'free prior and informed consent' as a right of
indigenous peoples.  But, again, this may just add too much noise at the
end.  Another option is to include a couple sentences to the effect that
these immediate changes are only a beginning and that there are other
demands (like the end of military interventions, corporate impunity) for
the longer term.

Those are just my thoughts.  Thank the folks who wrote the letter, it is
well done.
