[Sanctuarycity_hamilton] event description

Hi all,

I'm also feeling a bit concerned about having the time to pull this
together, especially trying to reach out to people. I agree with Ajit that
we should do something to respond to what is going on right now, though. I
like the idea of a banner drop that welcomes refugees. Ajit, would YCL be
interested in collaborating on something like this? I also like the idea
from some folks out east about making stickers and signs available for
people to put up. That said, I still want to make this event happen in
January if we have to postpone - I think it is still important to have,
especially as people might be turning their attention away from the issue.

I also wanted to add that a few things from the past months have been
catching up to me and my level of anxiety has been quite high (to the point
where I am finding it hard to do the tasks I said I would do on this
event). I have contacted Tings about speaking, but haven't heard back from
her yet. I've been procrastinating a bit about the posters and calling
people I said I would, though. I'm really sorry about this, and I am
working on rearranging my work load to prioritize Sanctuary Hamilton. If
the group wants to go ahead with the event in December, I will help in
whatever way I can.

Caitlin
