Thank you to Caitlin and Blake for starting/carrying on the conversation.
Massive apologies for me disappearing. I’m not able to continue to sit on the committee and it breaks my heart because I’m super excited about the work and love the humans that are at the table.
I can absolutely forward the ask for new committee members on to SACHA volunteers if folks want me to.
Love and ruckus,
crickett

Subject: [Sanctuarycity_hamilton] Checking in and capacity - please respond
Hello friends,
Blake and I wanted to touch base with the group about some of the outreach we've been doing and next steps. Since we didn't hear back from anyone about our previous email we went ahead and sent out information to a few groups to see if there are people interested in getting involved. We received a couple responses (not many, but enough to start) and we're thinking about next steps.
We've decided to go forward and set up one-on-one meetings with people who have gotten back to us to talk about getting involved in the group. However, both of us are also feeling a little frustrated with the lack of momentum and communication in the group. Of course lots of things come up for all of us, but we haven't been able to have a meeting since the rally on April 1st and as a result, I'm not sure where we're going to be able to go if new members are getting involved.
So that said, I'm wondering if everyone would be able to check in over email about what their capacity is right now, or how they are feeling about continuing with the group. I know email is not ideal, but getting this information is important for meeting with interested potential members to be able to let them know what kind of role or commitment we'd need from them to get any projects off the ground. If there are other concerns or problems that we are not seeing, it would also be really helpful to hear those so we can keep our group going (and build a stronger movement).
If folks are able to respond by Friday, that would be great.
Thanks and hope to see you all soon!
Caitlin
