HI folks,
I just wanted to send out the latest update from the folks in Toronto organizing the meeting for this Saturday about a provincial campaign, and also check in again if anyone is interested in going. I am only going to be there till 1pm and it looks like all the big talking points are actually scheduled for afterwards. If not, that is fine, I think it is enough to go to be in touch with the organizers and get further updates on the campaign as it progresses. Right now, it also feels like we might be spreading ourselves a bit thin in terms of what folks have capacity for, so I'm not suggesting adding to this.
Anyway, let me know if anyone wants to come with, or if anyone has thoughts they would like me to share based on the questions the organizers have asked in the email below.
cheers,
Caitlin

Hi friends!
Thank you for registering for the gathering this coming Saturday, January 31st, to discuss plans for a potential Access Without Fear campaign across Ontario.
Saturday January 31st, 2015
11AM-5PM
Ryerson University
Thomas Lounge, Oakham House
63 Gould Street, Toronto
We are very excited to see you all and can confirm we have people coming from (in no particular order) Cambridge, Burlington, Hamilton, Guelph, Mississauga, Barrie, Kingston, Toronto, Ottawa, Windsor and Sudbury!!
Please find attached an agenda for the day, draft hallmarks and some background information. We strongly encourage you to read through the brief between now and Saturday to review these pieces and come with questions, thoughts, ideas and dreams partly or fully formed. There will various points in the day to talk among ourselves and collectively about where and how we want to go from here.
Logistics
- There will be coffee in the morning when we arrive, a hot lunch and a coffee break in the afternoon.
- If you require childcare but have not indicated in your registration, please let us know in advance or when you arrive.
- There is no formal venue for an informal hangout afterwards but we will concoct a plan to enable our conversations to continue in the evening. Suggestions welcome!
- People can still register to come on Saturday. Just get them to fill out the form so we know numbers. http://goo.gl/lBVH0K
Important: Agenda Item #3
We would like to ask someone(s) from each city represented to share a couple of words on the following questions:
- What past/ongoing organizing has been done around these issues?
- What has been successful?
- What have been the challenges?
- What are your plans moving forwards?
Please get in touch if you have any questions in advance or need anything day of.
See you on Saturday!
CiarĂ¡n & AWF crew.
