[Sanctuarycity_hamilton] about Feb 28th and April 1st events

Hi folks,

Just a quick update on where we are for organizing our response to the
April 1st changes coming into effect for the TFWP.

We decided at the last meeting to go ahead with doing a targeted leafleting
on Feb 28th.  We haven't heard back from any supporters yet about people
who can come out to help, so if anyone knows of someone specific they could
convince to join us for a couple hours, feel free to contact them directly.

I am speaking to folks in other cities this Thursday again.  It seems
everyone is pretty much in the same boat - able to do something small the
week of March 1st and then probably going to organize a rally or other
action for the week of April 1st.  We decided to aim for a rally at 4pm on
April 1st at the Federal Buiding which will be on our leaflets. There will
be a joint press release that folks are developing as well as a call out
for other supporting groups as well as an online petition.  If anyone has
any thoughts they'd like me to share with others on Thursday, let me know
and I am happy to pass them along.

I''ve also attached the draft leaflet here if folks want to take a look and
comment.

Finally, I just want to confirm that we will meet on Thursday Feb 26th at
5:30.  I will be working on putting notes together for how to talk to folks
when we go out leafleting, but if anyone wants to help with that/offer
thoughts, that would be great.

Okay, I think that is everything for now.  Will keep everyone posted on how
Thursday's conversation goes.
