My apologies for not responding to any emails over the past week, week and a half as our email system has been down.  At this time I am unable to access any previous emails from early last week and am wondering if someone could let me know if there is an upcoming meeting or any dates/info I have missed.

This is something that I think  Sanctuary City would be interested in particpating with. Are looking at have us as one speaker on the panel? though we can probably speak broadly I'm not sure we would be experts on denied health care (though there are some great activist on McMaster who have taken this up) as Sanctuary City primarly has looked at Hamilton services.

As well when would you be looking to have the event.

If you can lets us know a little bit more about your idea for the event that would be great.

My name is Vanessa Moonilal and I am a  of the Labor Studies Student Association group at McMaster University. Our group is an interdisciplinary field that deals with work, the workplace, and workers and their organizations. It draws from the fields of History, Economics, Industrial Relations, Political Science, Law, Sociology, Communication, and Philosophy, as well as other disciplines'. We are in the process of promoting and bringing awareness to different areas of labor studies.

The event that I was hoping Sanctuary City Hamilton can help us with is having a guest speaker talk about Hamilton's immigrant issues, such as denied health care access, the difficulties of attaining employment etc.

We would be delighted to collaborate with Sanctuary City Hamilton with regards to immigration and the unfair treatment they face. Sanctuary City Hamilton would be a great asset with educating important social issues with the unfair treatment of immigrants.
