Subject: [Sanctuarycity_hamilton] article regarding Sanctuary City in Vancouver
Hey folks,
Thought people might find this interesting if they haven't come across it yet. Harsha Walia has written a lot about no borders and migration including the book "undoing border imperialism". I think the piece speaks well to some of the ways that sanctuary city as a policy to make cities more 'welcoming' can get taken up by politicians and others that obscure anti-poor or colonial practices. Anyway, thought folks might want to take a look.
