[RhythmAgogo] Tonight, Next Week, and Beyond

I'd rather use group money for drums. If there is conflict it can be addressed by those having issues...so if anyone has an issue with me, let me know! Otherwise, I'd say we are all individuals and in a group our size there will be the occasional flare up on a bridge but sometimes you need to just agree to disagree. I'm also at a different stage in my life and just don't have patience for drama. You move on and try again.
If you are not going to meet Monday, I do need to let Senos know if we can perform Oct. 14. Neil has the details if you do get together.
Take care,
Julie

Subject: Re: [RhythmAgogo] Tonight, Next Week, and Beyond
Hi folks,
I am in touch with a facilitator, who I will be speaking with tomorrow
evening. I'm guessing we may have to have the meeting later in the week or
month if we are bringing in a facilitator, but from what I've been hearing,
I think it will be well worth it.
Costs have not been discussed yet, but please tell me if you would be
opposed to using group funds to pay for professional facilitation. For the
record, we will have I think around $600 left after the t-shirts are paid
for, so I would say we are in a good position, financially.
I think that, at the start of a new season, it makes sense to meet and talk
as a group, outside of our regular practice context, and that we've been a
group long enough that a reevaluation of our goals and of how we operate is
just generally a good idea.
We have lots of positives to celebrate and build on. There are ideas that
have been proposed but not yet explored, and likely many good ideas that
have not yet been voiced. And we have money that we should discuss how best
to spend.
There are also tensions in the group that I've recently become more aware
of, that I understand many of you have been struggling with for some time,
and that I would like to see sufficiently addressed. I suggest we strive to
find a time when we can all meet, probably for more than two hours, with
professional facilitation; and that we use this time to work through our
challenges and plan for the future. Sound good?
In solidarity,
Neil
