[RhythmAgogo] Application Description

I am currently baby-sitting Neil's USB key, so while we're all energized on
the topic here's the wording submitted on the Ness applications:

*Short Bio*



Rhythm Agogo is an inclusive and energetic percussion ensemble based in
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. You may have heard us pumping out the vibes at
local marches, rallies

and cultural events. We build community by learning and adapting world
rhythms together and sharing them with our audiences.



*Influences*



We are influenced by many world musical cultures, notably by samba baterias
and the Rhythms of Resistance movement.



*Workshop: Beats and Breaks with Rhythm Agogo*



Try a new instrument and learn one of the interlocking parts that make up a
world rhythm. Learn to change the rhythm as a group on signal. Experience
that thrilling sensation when it all comes together. For all skills levels.

*Performance: World Beats by Rhythm Agogo *



Rhythm Agogo brings the funk… and the samba, bhangra, and pirate groove.
It’s a multicultural smorgasbord of rhythmic treats for your ears and your
hips. Dust off your bare feet and get ready to dance!

basically: Build an instrument, and practice with a band member to create a
group song (er rhythm).
