Hi folks! Here is our statement of values that Carolyn, Garret, Neil, and
myself worked on this summer. We wanted to send it out to the group for
feedback. Please read it and comment if you feel anything should be
changed/added.

Statement of Values
We value the land we stand on (Treaty 6 territory)
We value that we come from different backgrounds and experiences, and we
value learning and growing together. We do not discriminate, and oppose any
discrimination, including: gender, sexual orientation, race, nationality,
ability, age, ect.
Everyone is learning.
We are all about building community – amongst ourselves and in harmony with
the wider community of humankind.
We value and acknowledge cultures all over the world that have created and
developed the musical instruments and styles we use and riff upon in
creating our music. We take the issue of cultural appropriation seriously,
and approach it proactively.
We all have lives outside of the group. We will have open lines of
communication and welcome and support members in whatever level and kind of
contribution they feel able to make at any particular time.
Mission
Building community through (the language of) rhythm/music
Self-care and personal and musical development that extend outward (like
dandelion petals) (Mutual aid)
Acting in solidarity with and support of radical and progressive social
movements
Vision
We will change the world through drumming.
