[RhythmAgogo] Trivia Night Planning Meeting Notes

Here are the notes, in the body and as an attachment. Also, the next
meeting will be on October 18th, location to be announced (likely a
restaurant or lounge in Sutherland) at 6:30 pm, prior to the Durga Puja gig
at St. Paul's United Church.

Ideally, between Nov. 21st and 30th
Chelsea and Fred are away for a week in November, back on the 20th
Preferably before December (holiday season), but first week of Dec. possible

Culture? Multiculturalism? International music? No particular theme?

Play in rounds – different theme per round; different band member hosts
each round
Six rounds
Ten questions per round
Break halfway through
Different kinds of rounds – diff. delivery systems
Audio questions: Guess that instrument/song/musician
*Pricing*
$40 per team
Team size: probably teams of four, but we will have to base this on what
seating is like in our chosen venue once that is determined
Waiting list

Fred will make posters
Fred can get his friend to send out to eager trivia-goers
Maybe David can put this out in international student networks?
Each band member will try to bring a bunch of friends
*Possible Open Door partnership*
Do event in partnership with Open Door?
Could we then offer charitable receipts?

Collect prize donations
Chelsea will coordinate: list of who’s going where; picking up donations
First, second, and third place, and a scrambly final bonus round prize

Before seeking prizes, get location and date firmed up
Neil will draw up a donation-seeking letter to give to businesses.

Each of us will brainstorm themes and questions and populate the Google Doc
Have six band members each take on responsibility for coordinating the
theme and questions for one of the six rounds
