I will be at Calgary Reggaefest. 

Make sure if you take the gig that you:

Learn a couple Brazilian rhythms. 

Agree on set performance times and durations. Chances are that you would be expected to play 10 minutes per show (each hour) all weekend.

Make sure you get paid. If you work the maximum, it would easily be worth a grand (plus meal and drink vouchers) for six members. Use that as a starting point for negotiating. Of course, they may say they don't have the budget, but I'm sure Brazil makes money at Folkfest. 

You might want to set up a bank account if they insist on paying by cheque, or negotiate for cash payment so no one individual gets dinged with paying tax on that income.
