Hello everybody,

this mail goes to all individuals or NGO's who are part of the project
borderviolence.eu. I would like to give you a short overview about the
current developments.

We have made some changes to the site to make the database more of a
collaborative project between different organisations and actors.

  * The name of the organisation that submitted the report is now
    included in each report.
  * The logos of the participating organisations appear on the "About"
    page. Front page also contains the names of the organisations and a
    short description of the project.
  * It is now possible for organisations or individual volunteers to
    upload reports themselves. If you want to do this, I can give you
    access to the website.

Currently the database contains 353 reports, monthly about 40-50 reports
are added. The reports come from Velika Kladusa (No Name Kitchen, Balkan
Info Van), Bihać (individual volunteers), Sarajevo (Aid
Brigade/[RE:]ports) and Sid (No Name Kitchen). In my opinion, the
important thing is not necessarily the amount of reports, but that they
come regularly and from different places. This way we can show that the
systematic violence and pushbacks still exist.

We would be happy if you would not only feed the website with reports,
but also point out to the media that there is a common database. I think
this is more meaningful than the collections of individual
organizations. If there is something you want to change on the site,
just let me know!
