I've been wanting to see this film all year and it definitely did not disappoint!

is indeed that on the big screen. Swedish is so many ways, I howled at the wit
and scathing indictments of privileged white men in particular and civilized
society in general.

When a man runs for his life (with his phone) and leaves his kids and wife
behind, the barely-holding-together marriage starts to unravel with good reason.

Ruben Östlund's latest feature looks directly at modern life and both has a
little fun pointing out the drama of it all as well as letting the civilized
egos tell their own pathetic story. From scream therapy to older/younger
couples, Östlund doesn't hold back.

But it's the hilarious satire that this and other Swedes are so well known for.
Why not look at our insanity, even trauma, and have a laugh doing it! And when
the children are given the spotlight, even spoiled, unhappy ones, and they point
out the truth, you simply can't go wrong.

And this ending will surprise you...I think it's a happy one but you'll have to
decide for yourself!

Did you know that in Scandinavia...
--> there are laws protecting children from all forms of spanking and bullying,
even from parents
--> these laws do not imprison or punish parents but instead raise awareness
(http://www.empathicparenting.org)
--> the elderly are able to remain at home thanks to programs that provide free
meals, free transportation, and free care/
