This Sunday (Feb 17), Pacific Cinematheque
<http://www.thecinematheque.ca/cinema-sunday/the-peanut-butter-solution> is
featuring a (1pm) matinee for all ages.

It's called /The Peanut Butter Solution/
<http://www.thecinematheque.ca/cinema-sunday/the-peanut-butter-solution> and
it's a Canadian classic from 1985 and shot in Montréal.

It's a bit of a misnomer given the small role the spread plays, but there is
definitely humour to be had for the preteen set.

I enjoyed a scene not far in where a bullying teacher backed down when a young
boy stood up. But otherwise, it displays contemporary culture very accurately
despite the off-the-wall storyline.

It may be a tiny bit scary for the very wee among us, but it is far from a
shocker (unless you're not familiar with civilized behaviours!). Again, this is
made for preteens.

There's no membership requirement for Cinema Sundays
<http://www.thecinematheque.ca/cinema-sunday/the-peanut-butter-solution> and
youth and children are $6 (adults are $9).

If you're looking for a solution to another rainy Sunday, this could it! Enjoy...

Did you know that in Scandinavia...
--> there are laws protecting children from all forms of spanking and bullying,
even from parents
--> these laws do not imprison or punish parents but instead raise awareness
(http://www.empathicparenting.org)
--> the elderly are able to remain at home thanks to programs that provide free
meals, free transportation, and free care/
