Dear Friends and Colleagues

*Democracy Now! *did a half-hour segment yesterday (Thursday, Jan 6) on the
attacks on public sector unions now sweeping the country, with *New York
Times* reporter Steven Greenhouse, *Washington Monthly* writer Art Levine,
and me (Michael Zweig).  Below are the links.  I hope you'll find the
segment interesting and useful to pass on to others who need to understand
what's going on in this regard.

In my last comments in the interview I mention the New Priorities Network <
NewPrioritiesNetwork.org <http://newprioritiesnetwork.org/>> now coming
together as a coalition of labor, community, student, and peace groups to
respond to the budget crises, to Move the Money from war and military
purposes to urgent human needs.  US Labor Against the War is part of this
network.  I hope all who receive this message will get involved in this
campaign to change radically the priorities guiding our country.  This is a
long-term battle that we need to get started as soon as possible.
