 Hi Friends, we will be holding the Joseph Mairs Memorial in an abridged form this Sunday January 23rd starting at 1 pm in the parking area of St. Mary's Catholic Church Hall, 1135 4th Ave Ladysmith, BC. 

We have been a bit scuppered by the Public Health restrictions and the caution of the parish – all understandable. Everyone is doing their best. 

Sadly, this means that we are also cancelling the gathering at Coffee on the Moon set for Friday evening. Our wonderful speaker John Clarke is happy to visit another time when things improve.

So please come and support this event despite the modified format – no music and no speaker but the most important thing – the enthusiasm people have for celebrating the resistance the miners displayed to the owners and a system that treated workers like draught animals.

We will have our banner, our piper and each other. The service at the graveside will honour all those who fight for a better world.
