[pr-x] Letter to The Times Colonist

Lawrie McFarlane is concerned about the decision of the BC government that by 2040 all vehicles must be electric.  He reminds us that these vehicles are manufactured elsewhere.  I am sure he is right, but let me remind him that gas-powered vehicles are also produced elsewhere, as are computers, vaccines, and hypodermic needles.  I’d guess this is also true of the ink that impressed his words on the pages of the Times Colonist.
I am certain that where there is a demand automobile manufacturers will rush to fill that demand.
