Since November 2020, a group in the United States Puentes de Amor (Bridges of Love) led by the Cuban-American community, has been promoting the idea of “Car Caravans” against the U.S. blockade on Cuba in cities across the U.S. and Canada. These have been happening on the last Sunday of every month. On Sunday February 28, 2021, the Car Caravans took place in 8 cities, including Miami, Seattle, New York, Los Angeles, Ottawa, Montreal, Washington DC and Minneapolis. In many cities, this inspiring movement against the inhuman U.S. blockade has been a collaboration organized by the local Cuban community and the Cuba solidarity movement.

This month Vancouver will be joining car caravans across the U.S., Canada and Europe to demand an end to the cruel U.S. blockade against Cuba. There will be 7 Car Caravans across Canada: Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Victoria, and Vancouver and 11 across the United States uniting to stand up against the blockade.
