At the event, the Colombian Movement in Solidarity with Cuba will be presenting the Canadian Network on Cuba (CNC), Vancouver Communities in Solidarity with Cuba (VCSC), and Friends of Cuba Against the U.S. Blockade – Vancouver the 2021 Liberator Simon Bolivar Award for the Cuba solidarity work that has been done virtually during the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

Featuring Greetings from:
> HER EXCELLENCY JOSEFINA VIDAL, Cuban Ambassador to Canada. Previously, she was president of the Cuban delegation of Cuba-U.S. talks, which paved the way for the restoration of diplomatic relations between both countries, as well as the freedom of our 5 Cuban heroes held in U.S. jails, in December 2014.
> ISABEL SANZ, Cultural Attaché at the Cuban Embassy in Colombia
> CARLOS LAZO, Leading Cuban-American organizer against the U.S. Blockade, he began Bridges of Love, which initiated the Caravan Movement to End the US Blockade and Unite Cuban Families
> GAIL WALKER, Director of IFCO/Pastors for Peace
> Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP)

 

There will also be speakers from the Cuba solidarity movement in Canada and Colombia as well as cultural performances. including:

En el evento, el Movimiento Colombiano en Solidaridad con Cuba presentará a nuestros hermanos/hermanas en la solidaridad con Cuba de: Red Canadiense con Cuba (CNC), Comunidades de Vancouver en Solidaridad con Cuba (VCSC) y Amigos de Cuba contra el Bloqueo de Estados Unidos - Vancouver el Premio MCSC 2021 Libertador Simón Bolívar por el trabajo solidario con Cuba que se ha realizado virtualmente durante la pandemia de Covid-19.
