During the global Covid-19 pandemic, the Trump administration, together with its allies, including the government of Canada and the European Union have escalated sanctions against the people of Venezuela. At the same time, the U.S. government has also doubled its military presence in the Caribbean Sea and sponsored a failed armed mercenary invasion of Venezuela.
