This event will take place on the traditional and unceded territories of
the Tsleil-Waututh (səl̓ilwətaɁɬ), the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm), and the
Squamish (Skwxwú7mesh) Coast Salish Nations.

Last year, 2019 started with a U.S.-backed attempted coup in Venezuela,
with the U.S. puppet Juan Guaidó declaring himself interim president of
Venezuela. For the entirety of 2019 this failed coup dragged on and
desperately tried to assert itself while it became more and more clear that
the Venezuelan people were standing behind their democratically elected
government of President Nicolás Maduro and defending their Bolivarian
revolution.

Now as we enter 2020, the message to the U.S. is clear – Venezuelans will
not bow to imperialist pressure and will not hand over their sovereignty to
the U.S. government.

The U.S. government is still not leaving Venezuela in peace and is
threatening more sanctions and military intervention. Last week the U.S.
State Department’s special envoy for Venezuela, criminal warmonger Elliott
Abrams, spoke openly of the U.S. funding of the right-wing opposition in
Venezuela.

It is very clear that the Venezuelan people and their Bolivarian revolution
are still in the targets of U.S. imperialism, and need the support of peace
and justice loving people around the world. Join with the Fire This Time
Venezuela Solidarity Campaign in Vancouver, Canada to demand an end to the
blockade against Venezuela, and that U.S./Canada Hands Off Venezuela Now!

We will also be demanding that all charges be dropped against members of
the Embassy Protection Collective who were arrested by the U.S. government
in their heroic defense of Venezuela’s sovereignty. Read more about this

El año pasado, 2019 comenzó con un intento de golpe de estado respaldado
por Estados Unidos en Venezuela, con el títere estadounidense Juan Guaidó
declarándose presidente interino de Venezuela. Durante todo 2019, este
golpe fallido se prolongó y trató desesperadamente de afirmarse mientras se
hacía cada vez más claro que el pueblo venezolano estaba con su gobierno
democráticamente elegido del presidente Nicolás Maduro y defendía su
revolución bolivariana.

Ahora, al entrar en 2020, el mensaje a los EE.UU. es claro: los venezolanos
no cederán ante la presión imperialista y no cederán su soberanía al
gobierno de los EE.UU.

El gobierno de EE.UU. todavía no deja a Venezuela en paz y amenaza con más
sanciones e intervención militar. La semana pasada, el enviado especial del
Departamento de Estado de EE.UU. para Venezuela, el criminal Elliott
Abrams, habló abiertamente de la financiación de la oposición de derecha en
Venezuela por parte de EE.UU.

Está muy claro que el pueblo venezolano y su revolución bolivariana todavía
están en los objetivos del imperialismo estadounidense y necesitan el apoyo
de personas amantes de la paz y la justicia en todo el mundo. Únase a la
Campaña de Solidaridad con Venezuela del “Fire This Time” en Vancouver,
Canadá, para exigir el fin del bloqueo contra Venezuela, y que Estados
Unidos/Canadá ¡Manos Fuera de Venezuela Ahora!

También exigiremos que se retiren todos los cargos contra miembros del
Colectivo de Protección de la Embajada que fueron arrestados por el
gobierno de los Estados Unidos en su heroica defensa de la soberanía de
