“We are taking additional steps to financially isolate the Cuban regime,”
U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said in a statement September 6,
2019 announcing new restrictions imposed by the U.S. government limiting
the amount of money Cuban Americans can send to their family in Cuba.

This latest inhuman move is part of the growing U.S. hostility and the
tightening of the cruel blockade against the people of Cuba. On the Cuban
TV program “Mesa Redonda” Cuba’s president Miguel Díaz-Canel reported on
the impact of the blockade in restricting Cuba’s access to foreign exchange
and impacting Cuba’s contracts with shipping companies which limits Cuba’s
access to fuel.

“For us, just like Venezuela and Nicaragua, it is very clear that the
blockade is being tightened, and our people must remain alert and ready to
respond to any challenge with unity, firmness, optimism, and unwavering
confidence in victory,” Cuban president Díaz-Canel also said.

"Estamos tomando medidas adicionales para aislar financieramente al régimen
cubano", dijo el secretario del Tesoro de los Estados Unidos, Steven
Mnuchin, en un comunicado el 6 de septiembre de 2019, anunciando nuevas
restricciones impuestas por el gobierno de los Estados Unidos que limitan
la cantidad de dinero que los cubanoamericanos pueden enviar a su familia
en Cuba.

Este último movimiento inhumano es parte de la creciente hostilidad del
EE.UU. y el endurecimiento del bloqueo cruel contra el pueblo de Cuba. En
el programa de televisión cubano "Mesa Redonda", el presidente de Cuba,
Miguel Díaz-Canel, informó sobre el impacto del bloqueo al restringir el
acceso de Cuba a divisas e impactar los contratos de Cuba con las compañías
navieras, lo que limita el acceso de Cuba al combustible.

"Para nosotros, al igual que Venezuela y Nicaragua, está muy claro que el
bloqueo se está intensificando, y nuestra gente debe permanecer alerta y
lista para responder a cualquier desafío con unidad, firmeza, optimismo y
confianza inquebrantable en la victoria", dijo el presidente Díaz-Canel.
