November 7 marked the annual debate and vote in the United Nations General
Assembly (UNGA) against the unjust U.S. blockade on Cuba. As the U.S.
government continues to tighten the blockade - this year again the world
stood with Cuba. For the 28th consecutive year, the resolution passed with
187 countries voting with Cuba against the blockade, and only 3 countries
shamefully voting for the blockade (the U.S., Israel and Brazil).



However, the world’s repudiation of the blockade is not only seen at the
UN. Every year around the world groups and individuals continue to mobilize
with petitioning, posting on social media, chanting & singing, rallying,
and protesting around the united demand, “¡Cuba Si! ¡Bloqueo No!” “Yes to
Cuba! No to the blockade!”



Join Friends of Cuba Against the U.S. Blockade on November 17 for our
monthly picket action, as we unite our voices with the Cuban people and the
world to stand up against U.S aggression and in defense of Cuba’s
sovereignty and self-determination!



This event will be taking place on the traditional and unceded territories
of the Tsleil-Waututh (səl̓ilwətaɁɬ), the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm), and the
Squamish (Skwxwú7mesh) Coast Salish Nations.

El 7 de noviembre marcó el debate anual y el voto en la Asamblea General de
las Naciones Unidas (AGNU) contra el injusto bloqueo de Estados Unidos
contra Cuba. A medida que el gobierno de los Estados Unidos continúa
reforzando el bloqueo, este año nuevamente el mundo se puso de pie con
Cuba. Por 28 ° año consecutivo, la resolución fue aprobada con 187 países
que votaron con Cuba contra el bloqueo, y solo 3 países votaron
vergonzosamente por el bloqueo (Estados Unidos, Israel y Brasil).



Sin embargo, el repudio mundial del bloqueo no solo se ve en la ONU. Todos
los años, grupos e individuos de todo el mundo continúan movilizándose con
peticiones, publicaciones en redes sociales, cantos, manifestaciones y
protestas con la demanda unida, “¡Cuba Si! ¡Bloqueo No!” “Yes to Cuba! No
to the blockade!”
