This event will take place on the traditional and unceded territories of
the Tsleil-Waututh (səl̓ilwətaɁɬ), the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm), and the
Squamish (Skwxwú7mesh) Coast Salish Nations.

Each day, cruel and illegal sanctions against the people of Venezuela by
the U.S., Canada, the European Union and Switzerland cost the government of
Venezuela more than $30 million. At the same time, they severely limit
Venezuela’s access to imported food, medicines, medical equipment and basic
goods. Since March 8, the devastating impact of these sanctions on the
people of Venezuela has been amplified by sabotage against Venezuela’s
electrical grid.

While the people of Venezuela are faced with this brutal assault, the U.S.
government continues to state that Venezuela is an “extraordinary and
unusual threat to U.S. national security.” Meanwhile, repeating that “all
options are on the table” when it comes to how the United States will go
about overthrowing the democratically elected President of Venezuela,
Nicolás Maduro.

Since the attempted coup began on January 23, 2019 the people of Venezuela
have mobilized in defense of President Maduro and the gains made by poor,
working and oppressed people in the last 20 years of the Bolivarian
revolutionary process. The U.S. orchestrated coup by Juan Guaido has been
defeated.

However, the United States and their allies, including Canada, have no
intention of slowing down their war against the people of Venezuela through
sanctions, intervention, provocations and threats. As peace-loving people
in the U.S. and Canada have the responsibility to stand united in defense
of the self-determination and sovereignty of the people of Venezuela!

Este evento tendrá lugar en los territorios tradicionales del las naciones
Tsleil-Waututh (səl̓ilwətaɁɬ), Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm) y Squamish
(Skwxwú7mesh).

Cada día, las sanciones crueles e ilegales contra el pueblo de Venezuela
por los Estados Unidos, Canadá, la Unión Europea y Suiza le cuestan al
gobierno de Venezuela más de $ 30 millones. Al mismo tiempo, se limitan
severamente el acceso de Venezuela todo los productos importados,
incluyendo alimentos, medicamentos, equipos médicos y productos básicos.
Desde el 8 de marzo, el impacto devastador de estas sanciones en el pueblo
de Venezuela se ha amplificado por sabotaje contra la red eléctrica de
Venezuela.

Mientras que el pueblo de Venezuela enfrenta este asalto brutal, el
gobierno de los Estados Unidos continúa afirmando que Venezuela es una
"amenaza extraordinaria e inusual para la seguridad nacional de los Estados
Unidos". Mientras tanto, repite que "todas las opciones están sobre la
mesa" cuando se trata de cómo Estados Unidos continuará derrocando al
presidente de Venezuela elegido democráticamente, Nicolás Maduro.

Desde el intento de golpe de estado que comenzó el 23 de enero de 2019, el
pueblo de Venezuela se movilizó en defensa del presidente Maduro y los
avances logrados por los pobres, los obreros y los oprimidos en los últimos
20 años del proceso revolucionario bolivariano. El golpe de estado
orquestado por los Estados Unidos por Juan Guaido ha sido derrotado.

Sin embargo, los Estados Unidos y sus aliados, incluido Canadá, no tienen
la intención de ralentizar su guerra contra el pueblo de Venezuela mediante
sanciones, intervenciones, provocaciones y amenazas. ¡Como las personas
amantes de la paz en los Estados Unidos y Canadá tienen la responsabilidad
de permanecer unidos en defensa de la autodeterminación y la soberanía del
pueblo de Venezuela!
