This event will take place on the traditional andunceded territories of the Tsleil-Waututh (səl̓ilwətaɁɬ), the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm), and the Squamish (Skwxwú7mesh) Coast SalishNations.

 

U.S. President Trump and his administration continueto beat the drums of war against Iran. Amid harsh sanctions President Trump hasannounced that the U.S. government will be sending 1,000 more troops to theMiddle East, adding to the Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier and B-52 bombersalready headed towards Iran. On June 24 President Trump also announced moresanctions against Iran.   

 

The U.S.-backed Saudi Arabia bombing and blockade onYemen also rages on. The Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project(ACLED) reported in June that since 2015 nearly 100,000 people have beenkilled, while 12 million more people that are living on the edge of starvation.The governments of the U.S. and Canada and their allies continue to arm SaudiArabia with the most brutal weapons of war.

 

During these dangerous and precarious times, whenPresident Trump and the U.S. government are telling more and more lies tojustify more and more war, it is critical that peace-loving people here inVancouver and around the world mobilize to demand:
