This event will take place on the traditional and unceded territories of
the Tsleil-Waututh (səl̓ilwətaɁɬ), the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm), and the
Squamish (Skwxwú7mesh) Coast Salish Nations.

The U.S. government is consistently looking for new ways to tighten their
criminal blockade against Venezuela. On Tuesday December 3, the Trump
administration announced they are blacklisting six Venezuelan oil tankers
involved in the shipment of Venezuelan oil to Cuba. This underscores the
extraterritorial nature of the U.S. blockade on both Venezuela and Cuba, as
the U.S. is interrupting trade relations between these two sovereign
nations.

The U.S. “justification” for this action was given by Treasury Deputy
Secretary Justin Muzinich who said, “the United States will continue to
take necessary action to protect the people of Venezuela”. This is wildly
hypocritical, as U.S. sanctions have caused the deaths of over 40,000
people in Venezuela, as documented in an April 2019 report by the Center
for Economic and Policy Research.  Despite the overwhelming pressure that
they face, the people of Venezuela continue to defend their democratically
elected President Nicolas Maduro and make steps forward in defense of their
sovereignty and self-determination.

As poor, working and oppressed people in the U.S. and Canada we must
organize against the bloody plans of the United states to overthrow the
government of Venezuela. Join with the Fire This Time Venezuela Solidarity
Campaign in Vancouver, Canada to demand an end to the blockade against
Venezuela, and that U.S./Canada Hands Off Venezuela Now!

We will also be demanding that all charges be dropped against members of
the Embassy Protection Collective who were arrested by the U.S. government
in their heroic defense of Venezuela’s sovereignty. For 37 days the Embassy
Protection Collective protected the Venezuelan Embassy in Washington, DC
from take-over by supporters of the U.S.-backed puppet so-called “interim
President” of Venezuela Juan Guaido. Read more about this important

En su manera constante, el gobierno de los Estados Unidos está buscando
nuevas formas de reforzar su bloqueo criminal contra Venezuela. El martes 3
de diciembre, la administración Trump anunció sanciones a seis petroleros
venezolanos involucrados en el envío de petróleo venezolano a Cuba. Esto
demuestra el carácter extraterritorial del bloqueo de Estados Unidos contra
Venezuela y Cuba, ya que Estados Unidos está interrumpiendo las relaciones
comerciales entre estas dos naciones soberanas.

La "justificación" de Estados Unidos para esta acción fue dada por el
subsecretario del Tesoro, Justin Muzinich, quien dijo: "Estados Unidos
continuará tomando las medidas necesarias para proteger al pueblo de
Venezuela". Esto es tremendamente hipócrita, ya que las sanciones de EE.UU.
han causado la muerte de más de 40,000 personas en Venezuela, como se
documenta en un informe de abril de 2019 del Centro de Investigación
Económica y Política. A pesar de la presión abrumadora que enfrentan, el
pueblo de Venezuela continúa defendiendo a su presidente democráticamente
elegido, Nicolás Maduro, y avanza en defensa de su soberanía y
autodeterminación.

Como personas pobres, trabajadoras y oprimidas en los EE.UU. y Canadá,
debemos organizarnos contra los planes sangrientos de los Estados Unidos
para derrocar al gobierno de Venezuela. Únanse al Campaña de solidaridad
con Venezuela de “Fire This Time” en Vancouver, Canadá, para exigir el fin
del bloqueo contra Venezuela, y que Estados Unidos/Canadá ¡manos fuera de
Venezuela ahora!

También exigiremos que se retiren todos los cargos contra miembros del
Colectivo de Protección de la Embajada que fueron arrestados por el
gobierno de los Estados Unidos en su heroica defensa de la soberanía de
Venezuela. Durante 37 días, el Colectivo de Protección de la Embajada
protegió a la Embajada de Venezuela en Washington, DC, de la toma de
control de los partidarios del títere respaldado por los Estados Unidos
