Every day there are more reasons to stand together as peace-loving people against the deadly U.S. war machine, from brutal sanctions imposed on the people of Iran and Venezuela, to the continued bombardment of Yemen by a Saudi-led coalition armed with U.S., Canadian, and European weaponry.
Amid increasing threats of war against Iran, the U.S. government has re-doubled its brutal sanctions against Iran as part of U.S. President Trump’s “maximum pressure campaign.” The sanctions have had a severe impact on the people of Iran. In one example, children with cancer are especially suffering and dying, from lack of access to life-saving medication.
As the U.S.-backed, Saudi-led war in Yemen enters its 5th year, the death toll is approaching 100,000people. Millions have been displaced from their homes. Schools, hospitals, roads and other vitalinfrastructure have been destroyed by constant bombing, and the Yemeni people are suffering under a Saudi-imposed land, air and sea blockade.  
On August 5th U.S. President Trump signed an Executive Order that further increases the cruel and illegal blockade against Venezuela. This murderous blockade has already killed an estimated 40,000 people in Venezuela. The U.S. government is continuing to target the people of Venezuela to force “regime-change” and overthrow the democratically elected government of President Nicolas Maduro. 
The government of Canada is supporting these sanctions and U.S. war drive. Join MAWO for this antiwar action and take a stand against U.S.-led wars, occupations and threats from Iran to Venezuela, Iraq to Palestine, Yemen to North Korea and across the Middle East and North Africa.
