Coyote Event, coming 11/29/13: As of yet we lack a location.

1. Adam looked at the space on N.E. Dekum; a gentrified, bar type of
situation recommended to us by an ally. Adam is going to meet with the
proprietor but from the sound of it, there seems little reason to be
optimistic about this location. Plus, it is quite a ways out there.
Equally distant, was the Native Am. coffee shop and bakery I checked into
- Posie's, in NoPo's Kenton area. They have had live music events there
BUT have also served as a venue for Oregon Bride Magazine and the
Portlandia TV show. In other words: YUCK! Might work for a letter writing
night someday, barring any TV types or brides running around.

There were another couple of possibilities. One was the 411 space Ian
mentioned. Ian, if you found anything out about this, please reply to this
list with your update. Danica mentioned the Funhouse Lounge on SE 11th. If
anyone has an update on this possibility, please reply to this list. There
are a couple of places I plan to drop by when I get over the flu - one is
the Hawthorne Hideaway, SE 22nd & Hawthorne. The other is the Clinton
Street Pub, SE 25th & Clinton. Don't know squat about either one but it
can't hurt to look. Really, I'd still be down to have this at the Red &
Black, IF the rest of you are, and IF the Red & Black will have us (?)
Let's discuss it. (?)

2. In keeping with the overall "Thanks4Nuthin," indigenous program, Adam
found a pilgrim pinata to shove spears into. It is really a pirate but we
can adapt it for pilgrim-poking purposes. Yum - candy!

3. Danica confirmed the speakers for the program

4. Suna put together a rough draft "Coyote" flyer. Being very literal, it
naturally depicts a coyote.

5. Channi & Adam both had good connections for kegs, so if anyone has an
update on the beer, please reply to this list.

6. Tyler is doing an excellent job keeping our FB page current and
interesting, which is a lot of work and so deserves mentioning - Thanks,
Tyler!

Anybody with updates, suggestions or whatnot, please reply to this message.
Next planning meeting is at R&B, 10/8/13 at 6pm.
Thanks,
Suna
