hello PEPistas!
first of all:
if you have not emailed the palestin_in_schools at yahoo.com email saying
you're coming to the retreat and you are- do it now! if you need housing or
a ride- tell us now! we're afraid that we will not be able to accomodate
anyone's requests for housing if they haven't let us know yet.
secondly:
below you will find a basic agenda for our very exciting first PEP retreat!
third:
it's important that everyone understand that PEP is not an organization that
you can pop in and out of and it will still function. it's a collective
project and its success will depend on the time and energy that we all
dedicate to it. Its really exciting what a great crew of people we have
who are already putting lots of time and imagination into this project.
if you have expressed interest in PEP but realize that you won't be able to
be a part of it right now, that's cool- just tell us! too often activists
over-committ and have a hard time being honest with each other about what we
can and cannot do. we can start trying to change that piece of "activist
culture" now...
also, if you are coming to the retreat to check things out but aren't sure
what kind of committment you are able to make at this point- that's cool
too. just please be honest about that during the retreat and don't take on
work you won't do.
