hello PEPistas!

i am hailing from cincinnati right now- writing an email in the few spare
moments i have between eating too much and going to synagogue. (there's a
lot of nyc stuff at the top of this but philly peeps- keep reading,
there's stuff throughout for everyone).

a couple of things:

1) we in nyc are having a work/dinner meeting this thursday. we had
originally said 6pm. however, due to my new schedule, i need to change it
to 7pm if that's not too bad for anyone. sorry!

2) everyone who was at the original nyc brainstorm session committed to
tracking down and bringing books, articles, curricula, and other resources
that might be useful to us in shaping our presentations and developing our
resource library. if you are coming to the meeting but weren't at this
original session, don't worry. but please bring anything you think could
be useful. those of us who have committed to bringing things- let's not
forget. :)

3) if everyone could bring something for the dinner part of things, that
would be great: wine, cheese, salad, fruit, pasta, etc. please let us know
what you're bringing so we can have a good, diverse spread.

4) i propose this agenda:
7:05- presentations by steve, ora, and alexis (activities and
presentations that we've done in the past)

8:15- eat and discuss what we've just presented and viewed.

8:45- look over the different books, curricula, activities, etc that we've
gathered and think about how and whether to incorporate them

when we get tired, discuss next steps and go home...

5) philly folks- we will post on this listserv copies of the activities
and presentations we'll be viewing so y'all can go over them

6) alissa and i have started putting together an agenda for the
retreat/training. it's looking good. we are going to be calling on folks
to be a part of this. we're just trying to solidify a bit of a schedule
first. after rosh hashana, we'll be more on top of it.

7)philly folks: will you email to the list who nyc folks should contact if
they need somewhere to stay for the retreat? thanks!
