*EMERGENCY PROTEST: ALL EYES ON GAZA! RISE UP FOR OUR MARTYRS!*
With an impending ground invasion in Gaza City, the occupation deliberately
targeted journalists in Gaza including Anas Al-Sharif in a calculated
assault aimed at silencing Gaza’s voice. The occupation is attempting to
sever Gaza’s lifeline to the world by targeting journalists and to isolate
Gaza completely. The Israeli military made a statement after the
assassination, claiming responsibility for the intentional targeting of
Anas. Before he was martyred, Anas was warning about the impending ground
invasion in to Gaza City, calling on the world to take action. And so we
must take action.

Ottawa is answering the call to action to rise up for our martyrs. Join us
TUESDAY for an emergency protest at the Human Rights Monument at 6:00pm to
demand accountability for the assassination of journalists and an end to
the genocide in Gaza.

*SIT-IN AT THE OFFICE OF THE MINISTER OF NATIONAL DEFENCE: **MCGUINTY,
WHERE IS THE ARMS EMBARGO?*
We are calling for all people of conscience to join us at the office of
David McGuinty, Minister of National Defence, to demand Canada stop sending
weapons to so-called israel NOW.

Despite the government claiming to have restricted military exports to
"israel" over a year ago, a ground-breaking report by the Palestinian Youth
Movement and partners uncovered evidence of hundreds of shipments of
military goods from Canada to israel over the last year and a half. Join us
to demand that Canada impose a complete two-way arms embargo and end its
role in this machinery of death and destruction.

Please join our weekly vigil to reunite Palestinian Canadians with their
loved ones from Gaza.

Wednesday, August 13 from 11 am to 1 pm (we meet every Wednesday for the
rest of the month) at the Ottawa offices of Immigration, Refugees and
Citizenship Canada (300 Slater Street, at Kent).

Canada must immediately open a humanitarian corridor to urgently evacuate
all program applicants to prevent further death and physical and
psychological harm to those who, by all rights, should have been in Canada
with their families long ago.

Vigil organized by Ottawa Palestinians with loved ones in Gaza and the
